South Lake Stage

My Southlake Stage concept was inspired by my little sister’s dance career. My theater is solely a dance theater in which each season has a new resident choreographer preparing shows, by putting their own dance twist on productions we all know and love. I proposed the rotating choreographer model in order to have a theater that always keep things fresh and new for the public, while also stimulating community building.

This community building would be achieved by way of non-professional dancers of all ages being able to audition to dance alongside the Southlake Stage Company Dancers in the shows. That way, young dancers from all over the country could have a huge chance to get full exposure to stardom and learn from the best of the best. My sister assured me this idea would be amazing if possible in real life, because the exact concept currently does not currently exist anywhere.
